Victor G. Mihucz
Victor G. Mihucz, PhD (2002) is associate professor at the Institute of Chemistry of ELTE – Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary. He qualified for professorship through habilitation at ELTE (2014). His research interests include investigation of plant physiological processes upon heavy metal(loid) contamination, development of alternative techniques for arsenic speciation, instrumentation for assessment of indoor air quality. Recently, he has been involved in determination of pharmaceutical residues by liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. He won the Pungor Ernő award in analytical chemistry in 2017. He is member of the editorial board of Microchemical Journal and Applied Spectroscopy Reviews. He is secretary of the Environmental and Analytical Chemistry Scientific Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as well as Spectrochemical Association of the Hungarian Chemical Society. He has authored 70 publications, 2 book chapters and coedited one book on instrumental analysis. To date, 2 students have received doctorate and 4 other students are currently preparing their PhD thesis under his direction.
