The 15th Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry will promote the participation of students by grants to attend the conference. Undergraduate and postgraduate students will be given the chance to benefit from the opportunity to attend lectures imparted by experts in different topics, as well as to interact with experienced researchers and other students. Plenary and invited lectures will provide a unique opportunity to follow the frontiers on atomic spectrometry from leading scientists from all around the world.
There will be two kinds of grants:
The first will be available for undergraduate students, covering the basic registration fee to the 15th Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry. No abstract submission is required in this case.
The second will be available for postgraduate students (PhD, master), covering the basic registration fee to the conference. The presentation of one or more abstracts authored by the grant recipient to the conference is mandatory.
Postgraduate students must apply for the grant by contacting our Secretary (). In this case, abstracts must be submitted before this call is closed (August 4).
Undergraduate students must contact the Secretary without the requirement of abstract submission.
The following documentation is mandatory (in .pdf format) for both postgraduate and undergraduate students:
An official letter endorsed by the University or Supervisor, supporting the active status of the student. Certificates must be dated on 2019.
A personal short letter from the student indicating the personal and academic motivations to participate in the 15th Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry.
Application deadline: August 4, 2019
The number of grants is limited depending on the funds of the 15th Rio Symposium on Atomic Spectrometry and the selection of the benefited students will be performed by the Organizing Committee.
The selected students must attend the whole conference and be available to help the Organizing Committee with the logistics. The attendance of students benefited with the grants will be checked every day of the conference. Certificates and eligibility for awards will require attendance to the whole conference.
Financial support from IUPAC will allow young researchers and students to participate in this conference through invited lectures and oral presentations
